Doctor clowns to help sick kids
Life in Australian hospitals during the pandemic have been far from normal, particularly for children receiving treatment.
But a group of performers called the Doctor Clowns have helped to make sick kids laugh during this difficult time.
The performers are now giving joy and happiness to children in hospitals across Australia thanks to their new on-call program, where they virtually visit them regardless of the distance.
The program has expanded to different metropolitan hospitals and has the potential to visit regional and rural hospitals.
Creative Director of The Clown Doctors David Symons says because itís online they can expand and visit up to one hundred kids when the program is fully rolled out.
