Greece and Cyprus take part in “Windows on Europe Film Festival”
March 2011 The Greek Consulate of Greece in South Australia announces that the film "Slaves in their bonds", will be presented by the Hellenic Film Centre as part of the "Windows on Europe Film Festival", taking place in Australia under the auspices of the European Union Representation. The film will be screening in Adelaide on Sunday 3 April 2011, starting at 7.45pm at Mercury Cinema, 13 Morphett Street, (phone 84101934). For more info, visit the site of the cinema, www.mercurycinema.org.au The High Commission of Cyprus in Canberra is also participating in the Windows of Europe Film Festival with the film "Kalabush", produced by Cypriot directors Adonis Florides and Theodoros Nicolaides. The film is based on the story of an asylum seeker who believes that he has reached Italy but he has in fact arrived in Cyprus in the midst of the annual carnival celebrations. The film will be screening on 1 April 2011, 7.00pm, at the Mercury Cinema, 13 Morphett Street, Adelaide, (phone 84101934). The Adelaide Greek Glendi is back! Organising committee President Mr John Chefalachis has informed the Greek Tribune that the event will be held on 29 and 30 of October 2011 at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
