The Hellenic Society of Barmera held a successful Christmas Dinner Dance on 26 December, at the Barmera Hellenic Hall. President of the Society Mr Bill Kanakaris, thanked the large crowd that attended from all over the Riverland and from as far as Adelaide. The event was held in a festive atmosphere to celebrate Christmas and mark the end of the year. During the evening the Society honoured the inaugural committee which initiated the establishment of the Hellenic Society of Barmera in 1969. Guests at the event danced the night away at the beautiful tunes of the band "Zeus" from Adelaide.
